Kelley Blue Book Rates Resale Values for 2013

The 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser boasts the overall best resale value by Kelley Blue Book.

A top consideration of car shoppers these days is the potential resale value of the ride they’re eyeing. E3 Spark Plugs users are smart shoppers. So, they’re undoubtedly familiar with Kelley Blue Book’s annual Official Residual Value Guide – a trusty aid in choosing a vehicle deal that will pay off not just today, but down the road, too. Compiled each year since 1981, the guide is an industry standard relied upon by financial institutions, governmental agencies and the automotive leasing community as well as individual buyers. And from the guide is gleaned a three-part list of vehicles on the market boasting the best resale rates among specific brands, vehicle categories and overall top resellers.

The 2013 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards recognize vehicles that best retain their value over the first five years (60 months) of new vehicle ownership. Awards are presented to top vehicles in 22 vehicle categories and to the Overall Top 10 vehicles across all categories. Awards also are given for the Best Brand and Best Luxury Brand choices. Projected resale values are based on current vehicle data, sales data, market conditions for each vehicle, competition within vehicle segments, expectations of the future economy and the combined experience of Kelley Blue Book’s team of market and pricing analysts.
