What if we told you there are cars on the market that make the price tags of those look like toys? The truth is there are expensive cars, then there are cars that cost more than most people make in 2 lifetimes. Let's take a look at some of these record-breaking vehicles now.

The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita $4.8 million - Currently the most expensive street-legal production car in the world, the CCXR Trevita is truly one of a kind. What makes it so expensive? This supercar is literally coated in diamonds. The new exterior finish developed by Koenigsegg is called the Proprietary Diamond Weave, integrating diamond dust-impregnated resin and carbon fiber. Beyond this luxurious finish lies a 4.8-liter, dual-supercharged V8 with 797 pound-feet of torque and a total output of 1,004 horsepower.

The Lamborghini Veneno $4.5 million - Looking more like a spacecraft than a supercar, this latest roll-out from Lamborghini is incredibly fast. The 6.5-liter V12 engine delivers 740 hp with RPMs reaching an incredible 8,400, taking it from 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds.

W Motors Lykan Hypersport $3.4 million - Seen in Furious 7, the Lykan Hypersport comes from a franchise filled with one-off custom creations and high-end exotics. So why the hefty price-tag? Well among other things this unique car has jewel-encrusted headlights, scissor doors, and looks like a futuristic alien craft. Not to mention the 3.7-liter, twin-turbo straight-six which pushes out 770 horsepower.

The Bugatti Limited Edition Veyron $3.4 million - No list of the world's most expensive cars would be complete without at least one Bugatti. The Veyron is truly unique, even among Bugattis.
