Meet Team E3 Racing Winner Darryl Barrett

Team E3 Racing winner Darryl Barrett has been involved in racing since age four.

With three decades in competitive racing, Stanley, NY’s Darryl Barrett proved a natural for Team E3 Racing. He’s a member of Gorham, New York’s Asylum Motorsports Group and has been involved in every facet of racing since the age of four. He’s been a driver, crewmember, crew chief, engineer and owner and has worked with several successful racing teams over the course of his career.

For the last 30 years, Barrett’s racing career has run the full gamut from microds to karts to micro sprints to street stocks to modifieds. Over the years, he’s racked up more than 250 wins including 17 track championships and two national titles. He races in the Grand-Am and the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) World Challenge series in DP, GT, GS and GTS classes. He runs the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds series and landed three wins in the 2011 season.

While he’s not racing, Barrett and his team have a busy car show schedule that takes them to numerous festivals, charity events and fundraisers throughout the year. And they’re not stingy with their automotive talents. Barrett and his team often help other teams across the sport, whether it’s simple work at the track to complete rebuild and setup help away from the track.

From all of us here at E3 Spark Plugs, congratulations on a long and continuing career, and welcome to the team!
